Cape Town is blessed with some of the finest golf courses in South Africa. All of them are accessible and visitors are welcome. In summer rainfall is low so there’s little chance of cancellations due to weather.
Fees are reasonable by international golfing standards and facilities at all of these we recommend are exemplary, offering meals and refreshments.
Royal Cape Golf Club is a challenging traditional style course with probably the best greens, wide fairways and is the oldest club in South Africa.
Steenberg Golf Estate is more modern, recently built, the golfer being confronted with cleverly placed bunkers and water hazards.
Pearl Valley is a Jack Nicklaus signature in the great style of the “Master” with challenging bunkers to negotiate.
At Westlake Golf Club, the mountain needs to be taken into account when putting and when the wind picks up, beware Clovelly Country Club as it becomes a very tricky course.
No matter what your taste in golf, Cape Town has a course to suit it.
Whether you would like to enjoy a leisurly holiday knock or a more serious round let Racontours Recommend a course on which to do it.
